Jean-Michel lives in the slums of Port-au-Prince in Haïti. He loves acrobatics, and wants to enter an upcoming gymnastics competition, but he doesn’t have the resources to enter the competition. He decides to go to a local park, where he impresses some tourists, as well as a wealthy boy, who collectively give him enough money to compete. He ends up winning the event, and with the prize money, he buys his mother a new dress that she has wanted for a very long time, but didn’t have the funds.

Tout à coup, Jean-Michel a une idée ; il décide d’aller dans une des grandes rues de la ville. Il s’arrête près d’un parc. Il voit un garçon qui marche dans la rue avec sa mère.
